M715 Fun!

Here is my M715 taking on a section of the shelves at Tuttle Creek ORV Park. They are tougher than they look as once the front tires are up, they run into the second shelf about the same time the back tires hit the first shelf. The nice thing about playing here is if you cannot make it, just back down. Gravity is on your side, no trees behind you, no long slope to really aggravate the situation.

Here is my brother's truck, another 1968 M715 doing the rock shelves. Lee had a really nice truck, small block Chevrolet, Warn 8274 on the nose, a Ramsey Industrial winch under the bed, Detroit No-Spin in the rear, Lock Right in the front, and an onboard air system. He had an offer he could not refuse and the truck is gone, I hate that, it should have been mine!

Here is another shot of Lee taking on the challenge of the rock shelves. We were all green with envy, that M715 was the king of the roost on this trip.

Just a little stroll in the park...

Here Lee is being spotted by a buddy, he is trying to do a little belly rub. That long wheelbase looks like a handicap, but CJs have a really hard time with this one too.

The "Sidewinder" is a hill that has claimed a few vehicles, loose rock, tight turns, trees on both sides, it is a pretty dangerous hill. At one of the M715 Field Events, a truck was pretty well destroyed here. I think Lee's Kaiser was a big player in the removal of that truck.
